Meeting HRH Prince Michael of Kent
On January 31th 2012 The British Embassy in Skopje organized a reception in honor of HRH Prince Michael of Kent and an occasion to promote two major UK events happening in 2012.
During this beautifully organized reception HRH Prince Michael and HE Ambassador Yvon reminded us of this years Diamond Jubilee (60 years of reign) of HRH Queen Elisabeth II, planned to be celebrated during June 2nd-5th 2012.
As we all know and eagerly anticipate, other major events are the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in London 2012. In true British noblesse oblige tradition the hosts are giving significant focus on the Paralympic games as much as the main Olympic event. To illustrate this at the reception of HRH we were presented a brief video material about British aero industry developing Olympic sports wheelchair.
To everyones greatest pleasure HRH Prince Michael of Kent and Ambassador Yvon invited Mile Stojkoski on the stage to present a gift wishing him succes on his journey to the London Olympic Stadium (official opening on July 27th). HRH expressed wishes to welcome Mile Stojkoski at his arrival in London, which could be a begining of a wonderfull friendship among two humanitarians dedicated in helping people with dissabilities worldwide.
We are especially thankfull to the wonderfull British Embassy staff for being imaginative and effective in creating this event.
